Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Compensation…the one thing management don’t want us to talk about…

Since we cannot freely talk about our raises at work, we’ll talk about it here. What kind of increase percentages is everyone getting in the US compared to last year? I have a sneaking suspicion that I am grossly underpaid for my role compared to my peers:

Performance rating: Meets but in my performance review, it’s documented that I ‘consistently demonstrated an expert ability…’ and ‘significantly expanded coverage and support…’
Percentage increase amount from last year: 1.47% - ridiculously lower than previous years
Get a bonus? How much?: $11k - continues to decrease $2k every year
If it doesn’t give you away, what LOB?: COO

P4 - Lead specialty software engineer
3 - Meets (prior year 4, and manager basically said they gave the 4 to the one being promoted)
$30k bonus
0% raise
Apparently in a low range for my role so the 0% raise is pretty demotivating.

There used to be a document on the HR website that listed out every position at the company, along with the pay range (low-mid-high) for each market area. I can no longer find that document on the HR site, nor anything close to it on Workday. Does anyone know where to access this now?

feel free to email your coworkers what you make. nothing illegal about it and WF can't stop you. its more a cultural thing in the US to not talk about it. Our friends in India are much more open about it amongst one another.

2 weeks ago before comp came out my manager announced on on an all team call that we are allowed to discuss or salary/raises openly. I think this dates back to some laws about anyone dealing in any type of government contracting or interstate commerce and Wells Fargo definitely falls under this jurisdiction as they do banking for many government/municipalities.

Absolutely nothing prohibits you from talking about comp. From a legal or company standpoint. It’s just that American stigma.

No one is stopping you. Discussing pay is protected by law at the Federal level. Others may not want to tell you what they make, but you are not blocked from discussing your comp.
