Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

WIM is now being managed by former JP employees

The entire WF WIM is now being managed by former JP employees. They are intentionally targeting legacy WF staff, trying to push them out by frustrating them—hiring hundreds of contingent workers and assigning less important tasks to WF staff, among other tactics. What you should do is stand up for yourself, escalate the issue, and ensure you are aware of your legal rights.

Ohio is not an approved go forward hub for FCM. So why should a senior executive be there. Don’t they need to collaborate in the office too??? Another JP person coming to wells with different rules for different people. While managers and agents with years of seniority getting laid off for their location, not fair.

Columbus (Ohio) is an approved go-forward location.

Because HY doesn't really give an S where people work, they just like convenient / HR approved excuses for firing all of us. These managers and low level execs coming from JP know it's a short term gig. They'll come here, get paid a ton of money, and wind down the domestic work force before sailing off into the sunset with a bunch of profits we earned in spite of them.

It's all going to I&P folks. Unless you move to that hub, it's a matter of time.

This is happening in FCM too. Numerous managers coming from JP. What I don’t understand is how senior manager can still be allowed to work from Ohio. Why is site location be the rule for some and not for others. Wanting WF managers to get frustrated and leave.

This has been going on in companies all the time. Regime change.
And like this is a surprise.

When Wachovia got bought by Wells they had to bring in the Wachovia folks to run things within that sh-tshow.

I have witnessed at least 3 managers in WIM get displaced after questioning and pushing back when their new leadership announced new processes that are not in the best interest of the bank or the customers. Legacy folks know better, and they don't want them at Wells. They want a team that doesn't know any better or those that are okay following whatever they say and won't question them or push back.

On a surface level, it's not a horrible idea. JPM has some great people. Here's the problem, those aren't the people coming here. We're getting the rejects and mediocre types. The top performers are still there, or go to better banks. What's worse, these clowns THINK they are the cream of the crop.

Of course the nutcases that post here would imagine a great replacement theory at the bank.

Yes sometimes your manager actually worked somewhere else! Who tf cares, it’s a bank, and a cr-ppy one at that.

I haven't really noticed it actually and I'm in WIM. Yeah, there are some JPM at the top, but it's not as widespread as other groups in the bank.

Welcome to the new normal of WFC, been like that for years in other groups. It won't get better, the former JPM employees will hire more Chase workers and they will get the better ratings and better bonuses, all while you will be told you are useless because of some preconceived notion.

I am in WIM and this is SO VERY TRUE. I will fight to the death. I would never go to HR. We know they are corrupt now and will get nowhere. I will just not let any of them get an inch in speaking to me at least and will continue to do Exceeds level work as I have always done and be very well liked by everyone but for the people making these decisions apparently. If they try to play a sick game and axe me right before some material Comp is coming to me this year, I will hire a good corporate lawyer and work to get a nice settlement. The arrogance of some of these former JPM people is off the charts and the reality is many of them are B/C level quality or they wouldn't have left JP. They don't impress me in the slightest.
