Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Office Hours Monitoring is Now Confirmed

Anyone who is averaging 3 hours or less is getting an email sent to their supervisors. Even supervisors weren't fully aware it started until the emails started coming in.

“To the a..ss..h..ole that said it was from a POWER BI. It was NOT FROM POWER BI. It is an actual website that needs access. You are lower rank to even see that report. Like I said. It does not track your time in, just your time out. All it says there, is WHERE YOU AT, whether LAN or WIFI. All they care about is the building you’re assigned to on webphone to show THERE!“

What you’re describing has been talked about here for months now. Not news. The data being reviewed isn’t on that site and isn’t on the Power BI report.

Can confirm now folks were fired just a few days ago because of the 3 hour average in January smh

Just more lies. Nothing to see here. The C suite literally thinks they can gaslight you into believing just about anything.

Sounds to me like you’re (long) overdue for some ‘abuse’.

By the way it’s not average across the week. It’s per day. So you have to be over 6hrs per day not 7 one day and 5 one day.

Supervisor told us today monitoring starts with first badge swipe or network login. Network activity is tracked along with geo pinging COU devices every 20 minutes. If you're averaging >=3 hours per day after the whole month you get an email to your supervisor. Good luck to everyone

“What if you don’t have a COU and use your personal device still?”

The COU tracking is real but they can’t do sh-t about your personal phone.

“ My boss didn’t care about my hours because he knows I get my work done but it’s not in his control.”

RTO, ALL the reporting and everything that goes along with RTO has NOTHING to do with whether or not anyone is getting their work done.It has NOTHING to do with productivity.

Instead, it has EVERYTHING to do with getting rid of headcount.

PERIOD.

“I overheard someone at Lenox saying they’re looking at people averaging under 6 hours. So I assume it varies by org?”

Apparently emails went out for under 3 for the month of Jan and the next wave is under 6 for Feb. Some people are being warned by good managers to increase their time to stay off the under 6 report.

After Feb it will be 7+ report.

The email said I was average less than 3 hours in the office on the days I RTO for the month of January. My supervisor had to fill out the reasons I was non-compliant and send it to the RTO police, and my AVP was copied on an escalation of same. This is no joke, it is happening. And it didn’t matter that I WFH to make up the other 5 hours each day. When I asked how many is the minimum number of hours I had to be in the office to stay off the non-compliance report, I was told “if you’re in the office 8 hours you don’t have to worry about the report”. My boss didn’t care about my hours because he knows I get my work done but it’s not in his control.

That is true. I knew of a director who received these reports and instructed the team members to aim to put in 8 hours at work at least 3 times a week.

If your supervisor didn't receive these reports, then it means that your team members are already complying.

“I have access to the reporting system”

There’s a lot more data being looked at than what is in the Power BI report.

They been spying in some groups for 4 years. They could run a report showing which systems you were in through the day and how many keystrokes.

Wait until you find out how the new key fob they gave you is to confirm the hours tracking.

I know 3 people who appeared on the report erroneously for not being in the office for greater than hours on the days they badged in. The report only includes your name, attuid and reporting hierarchy. There are no details to dispute.

I have access to the reporting system and it doesnt show the time that you logged in, it only shows the time that you logged out and even that is “questionable” unless this follows central time for Dallas crooks. All they really care is you SHOW up 5 days a week in a LOCATION. As that will show on the report 100%. Whatever office you were assigned to. Internal LAN will show LOCATION, so is INTERNAL WIFI

Please print this thread and keep for your records.
You will want to add this the mounting evidence of for your ‘Constructive Termination’ lawsuit.

  • HR Policies are bylaws and contracts between AT&T and their employees. Although most jobs are ‘At Will’ a company cannot enforce documented or un-documented policies unequally or ‘per organization’
  • It is simply not true that possible civil rights violations can be justified or normalized by grouping targeted individuals under an organization and then applying unequal mandates, rules, monitoring and scrutiny for the purpose of terminating individuals because they don’t align with the companies stated cultural and age related workforce goals.
  • Remember that when offering ‘targeted’ employees the opportunity to relocate to follow the job and then laying them off when they agreed, cannot easily be argued, justified or ‘explained away’ by their attorneys while arguing to a jury of your peers. This occurred for some but not all.
  • They are executing their operation in Waves to hide and obfuscate what they are really doing and the backfills will tell the true story. Subpoena the demographics from the start of Wave 1 to the end of Wave 3. They tried to make it so the backfills couldn’t be mapped 1 to 1 to the employee that was terminated.

“ You can tell by the number of pro-RTO troll posters and upvoters in the thread that this whole concept is astroturfed nonsense. HR people posting here on the clock? How about this, shills, just stop lying?”

I wish we were trolling.

You can believe us or not. I hate RTO but I’m complying because I need the job. I’ve seen the reports and all of this stuff is true.
