Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Just witnessed someone removing personal items from an office

I sat there in silence with my headphones on, but you know I had no music on because I wanted to hear all the chaos. A maintenance person came over and even told the employee that people are starting to make up rules in the office. Assigning themselves offices, when the company explicitly states on their website that there are no assigned offices. A half hour goes by and the employee (manager) sees their personal items in boxes outside the office and someone else using it. They literally get into an argument with F words and everything. Then the person takes their things and leaves to sit in a cubicle. It can’t get more entertaining than this. I’ll continue to keep my headphones on and continue reporting back with the office drama. To be continued ….

Frame someone with a paper nametag on an office, but leave a di--o and a bag of fake weed as personal items.

All groups have an assigned area with unassigned seating. Departments are literally doing whatever they want. Unless you are WIM, Home Lending or C Suite this is the way it is.

Groups that have assigned areas are allowed to set assigned seats and offices.

...I do get there first. Every time. Who cares if it's "mine" or not. We're all getting downsized anyway. All of us. If you're going to complain about something, at least complain about something that matters. Scrambling for deck chairs on this Titanic ain't it.

Iselin, NJ is experiencing significant challenges in its office environment. The same individuals occupy the workspace daily, creating a disruptive atmosphere. If you are not engaged in a meeting, please consider vacating the area, as others require the space for their calls. If your presence is indeed essential, it would be more appropriate to seek an office in Hudson Yards. Otherwise, it would be advisable to refrain from occupying the space unnecessarily. Either way feck off you langers.

When we switched to neighborhood seating it was stated multiple times that offices were to be used for 2 hour max time limits. That’s been completely ignored by managers that lost offices. Senior dept managers don’t even adhere to it.

@ch+1jkxey7t3 It is not YOUR office. That is the point. If you get there first, it’s yours for that day. Sure.

Jokes on them, none of the cr-p in my office is "personal items". If they want to throw away their own stuff, "ok". I don't really care. First come first served, and I'll always be there first.

I wish we could put some of the loud talkers in the many empty offices we have. Would make my days so much better

I have to live vicariously through you. Where I’m at I don’t get to see it directly so what do I do? Each day I RTO I pick a different space that is unassigned but clearly claimed, sit there long enough to abuse the space, leave coffee rings and my dirty cups, then leave. And maybe I take something with me.

Rules for thee but not for me! So glad the person/manager was "shown the door" so to speak. Wish I was there to watch - I would bring popcorn :-)

Good idea to have the cleaning crew remove all items each night, or at least give them a note to put on each desk informing them it’s not allowed. If it happens again remove all their stuff.

Someone should have placed a water cooler in the aisle, then the argument would have been a collaborative session.

Each night, the cleaning crew should remove and trash all personal items left in unassigned space.

i get in pretty early and always see cubes where people have claimed a stake. One of these days I'm going to remove someone's personal items and take the cube just for fun.
