Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Middletown is almost ready

Half of the building is renovated and they’re in full swing everywhere else. Which begs the question.

How much longer does Bedminster have?

Maybe a year max…

Middletown building A is owned by AT&T. It sits on top of a sonet ring. Why do you think they sold off buildings b-e and kept building a? There are reasons why they are keeping it. NJ headcount will be cut until it matches building capacity, or RTO is rolled back.

If you are going to shutdown Bedminster, you might aw well move the jobs out of state because hardly any of those people are going to want to commute to Middletown and that's probably what they have in mind anyway.

As for Middletown, I'd hardly be on the bandwagon for it being here forever. Outside of maybe the H1B people who are used to no space, not a single person wants to work in the new "stack" plan they've set up. Count on a slow death with every quit being a new job not in Middletown.

Paramus only has a few hundred employees crammed into a small portion of that building. After another round or two of layoffs, the survivors will be consolidated into Bedminster.

Bedminster itself is shrinking population wise. Jobs relocated to Dallas, plus additional headcount reductions.

I wouldn’t say within a year, but maybe within 5 years, Bedminster will be consolidated into the Middletown building A complex.

Ghost town? Lol. There’s not even enough seats as is. Wait until next month when Legg goes 5 days. Chaos will come

I was there the other day, seemed like ghost town to me. Didn’t see any renovation. Few people. Cafeteria is half stocked and empty of people.

Bedminster has at-least 5 more years. T only owns building A is Middletown. Can’t fit everyone in A unless they re open B, C, D, E. Building A is never going away though.

Which building in MT? B, C, D & E are gutted and empty. No way can they cram everyone into A.

Bedminster lease goes to summer 2030.

Kinda makes sense to consolidate to one NJ location. AT&T owns A building in Middletown.

Yup, Bedminster will start getting the letters to report to Dallas and anyone left will be going to Middletown.
