Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Ford Next projects

While needed people are laid off, we are spending Billions on pie in the sky projects like scooters, van rides, smart cities, and cameras to notify people of vehicle locks that don’t work. We supposedly have a partnership with a security company on this, but I looked at their site and they aren’t selling any vehicle security partnership with Ford. Why do we spend so much $ hyping thing that are never going to add to profits?

Ask Franck Louis-Victor?

What do you mean?
These are all great products and plans.
The world needs more scooters, more failed autonomous vehicle companies, another electric startup with high priced trucks that we will leverage (not).
A lot of our problems are of our own making.
I don't see GM prevaricate like this.
CEOs come and go.
Only one common demonitator.
Ford Family.
Just like the Lions.
Not joking.
And they can't even give employees functional toilets.

Franck Louis Victor did nothing for Renault's profits and will be gone once his contract expires. More useless ' design thinking ' BS. Everyone can thank another id--t, Jim Hackett for more waste. Musgraves keeps telling everyone, we need to demonstrate our value - so where is it, another fake that needs to get booted. Are there more layoffs coming? How could there not be, Farley is cutting costs everywhere. He needs to demonstrate quickly short term profits. FLV presents nothing but fluff and creates confusion. Argo is gone and wouldn't be surprised if Ford Next is eliminated within a year.

Train station might have worked anywhere but Detroit. WHO wants to go to a crime riddled, decrepit factories, tire busting, chop shop, burned out shell of a city? 3 nice buildings don't make a great city.

Ford needs a project on building a vehicle that doesn't catch fire and burn down the customers house

Why can’t we just manufacture quality vehicles that people want and can afford to buy? All this “data and subscription sales” stuff has us circling the drain.

Ford has a gap in stock price to fill at $5. How do you think they're going to fill it otherwise?

Remember this post when Fords stock actually hits $5 or less. You won't, but I'll know, because I know how this sh*t works.

So my truck notified me that it had gone into “deep sleep” mode since I’m not driving anywhere. I though that was nice until I got 4 MORE NOTIFICATIONS in the next 5 minutes!! This is such a cluster f*ck - if you tried you couldn’t make something this bad!

don't forget that real waste of money .. The train station. That area looks like Lebanon. Why is Wall Street not asking BF to step down? A real waste of capital. Every time they talk about it the story changes. Tech center for AV, Then an event center, then apartments. like yeah i want my own wino & thug. Nice Idea Bill what's next? Might as well buy the Packard plant. Maybe turn that into one of your pet green projects.
Glad I retired back three years ago. Took the lump and dumped all the ford stock.

They need to dump that idea and focus on lowering prices of parts that are stolen off of cars to make stealing those parts not worth the effort. Example catalytic converters. Or make cars that don't need them or harder to steal.
