Does internal job reposting few days after interview mean the candidate did not get job?

It means someone found someone they feel should get the job, and per HR policy they need to repost the job so their cronie can apply for it.

They may have reopened it to fill the diverse interview quota.

Maybe they had an additional opening for the same position. Your immediate thought that it must be bad is disturbing. Always assume positive intent and apply for the newly posted position.

It means forget about it. They want more candidates to apply. You’re out of the mix.

You do realize that diverse slate mean diversity of those INTERVIEWING the candidate not the applicants. I do not think DEI is very good but at least spread truth.

If it’s only reopened for a short period, the hiring manager may have requested the recruiter open it for a specific person to apply.
It doesn’t mean you didn’t get it, but it’s not a good sign.

Or it could mean that they didn't meet the arbitrary quota of what constitutes a "diverse slate of candidates"...or some shizit like that...

It can mean a lot of things such as salary range change, posting correction etc.
Sometimes a manager puts a limit on the number of applications they want and the ones they got weren’t what they were looking for. If you didn’t get the email about not getting the job, reapply for the new one.
