Former FDC employee here. The best thing Frank did was to close the Houston Office down. I was supposed to be RIFd after 21 years but they decided to make me a contractor so I never got my severance. The missing the severance pi---d me off to no end. I started looking and had a new job less than two weeks after the converted me. My new company is 1000000000000 times better than FDC. The management actually cares for its employees. I told my new big boss I didn't like driving into town and he was like work remote. There are lots of jobs out there I know it is hard to jump but do it while you are in control and don't depend on the severance package. Frank will run Fiserv into the ground like he did FDC. The only way FDC stayed afloat was by constantly downsizing.
I am seeing more Linkedin job requests from Fiserv staffers these days. Never before has that happened, but I advise them to stay in touch with fellow team members. I wonder if 1,700 staffers affects the 44,000 headcount? And notice no FIRST DATA layoffs EVER occur? Look over there - none, ever. Old Wile E. Coyote rode that rocket several times and look what happened to him.
