I-9

For conveying MA folks- did anyone else get an I-9 request from HCSC last week with a deadline of 2/20?

I been here over 17 years I did complete the I9 request and after working with a live verifying all my docs 2 weeks later I was getting emails again. They said the original verification was never documented I had until 2/20 to complete it. Well because this was their fault not mine I didn’t make that deadline I completed my verification like 2/25. My original license had expired so that could be the reason for me having to redo this

I completed it and was hired after 2016. 🤷 It would be so much easier if they would just be up front instead of whatever we’ve got going on here.

FAQs were updated yesterday stating that HCSC is requiring employees who do not have an I-9 on file to revalidate their I-9 and the date of hire included in there is merely a place holder and not an indicator of the transaction close.

Except that wasn’t a Workday task when the portal was open. It is based on hire year.

Someone suggested it might be due to the driver license on file with the current I9 being expired. That seemed like a good possibility.

You would not have gotten this email if you already completed all Workday tasks when the HCSC portal was open in December. If you didn’t complete it, you got this email. It shouldn’t have anything to do with hire dates.

Yep, I received same email. And I've been here over ten years.

It was only for a select group of employees and will be mentioned on tomorrow’s office hours. But I think you are right about it being people hired before a certain date. There was a much larger group notified back in December that they needed to do it and I thought I heard this was anyone hired before 2016.

As far as giving HCSC your personal info, they already probably have a lot of your personal info at this point. I wouldn’t use that as an excuse to not complete this before the 20th.

i'm a US resident and the email said it was because there's no digital copy in Cigna's workday- likely bc i started prior to 2019 when workday took over for peoplesoft. But...what if the sale doesn't go through, there's no reason for HCSC to have that information until I am "hired"...?

Are you a resident or visa holder? Unless Hcsc did a random sample of all conveying employees.

I didn’t get one
