Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO New

JP Morgan opening a new building in NYC for 14,000 to RTO. Almost all areas are collaborative type work spaces.

WMT announced all office workers to RTO.

This is the new corporate and government trend. COVID is over.

OP-
So those employers have provided enough seating for ALL their employees, NICE.

Meanwhile at T there is not enough seating for ALL employees and this is even before ALL organizations report back 5 days this year.
Oh the insanity of it all! LOL

Things change and rules change. You had WFH for years but now our CEO wants everyone to RTO.

Things are not always fair as we learned as children.

Incredible how people can insist on being so thick.
One more time: RTO is not about “collaboration” or “post covid”, but about pushing US employees to QUIT ( to reduce expenses and a layoff) by all global corporations…
Read the news people! It ain’t fake ! Is reality.

“ Thanks for the PSA but most hybrid and remote workers - like myself - had arrangements in place long before the pandemic so RTO it’s not about “bringing people back” just like it’s NOT about productivity. I was also hired in and worked in Chicago where there is plenty of office space that I’m not able to report to. Do you believe everything you read? Ever even attempt to look at the big picture? Enjoy your 8x5 - sounds like you’re going to do fine living the lie.”

OP- RTO has NOTHING to do with collaboration either. Do you buy that lie as well?
A little louder for the OP and all those in the back!

Current studies show that over 80% of US employers STILL operate on a “hybrid” mode as most employees prefer a hybrid work arrangement, citing the benefits of flexibility and work-life balance.

Jamie Diamond is the biggest libturd to ever live. I heard his leaked audio about his rant on RTO. Just because he’s a CeO doesn’t mean he’s right. He’s an id--t, go search for the recording and listen for yourself. Guys got a serious lisp too. Sounds like a reterd.

“JP Morgan new skyscraper, lunch & dinner will be delivered to employees desk. This is even better than Silicon Valley! Where do I apply?”

Jamie Dimon doubled down on DEI and now has lunch and dinner delivered to employees’ desks. Except the only employees that will be staying late enough for dinner will be the 45 and older Caucasian. LOL! Oh the insanity of it all! LOL!

NO! SILENCE! We don’t care how many times you try to cram the in-office ideology down our throats, we will reject it over and over again. Yes, we need a job. Yes, we need a paycheck to live, but it will be on OUR TERMS and not the terms set by Corporate America.

We will refuse to apply. We will refuse to work. We will refuse to waste our lives inside an office 5 days per week. You can choose to ignore it and believe that you are still in control, but it is simply not true.

I represent the legion of skilled Americans that will meander in place, su-king the corporate teet dry of resources. Wake up! Witness our movement in real-time as we serve up punitive retribution in response of your incessant insistence of treating us like livestock. You will eventually lay us off and we will happily move on to a company more deserving of our skills and reciprocal dedication.

As a “thank you for playing” sentiment, your plan to hire office-compliant, highly-skilled workers to oversee offshore and AI Agents will also ultimately fail miserably. Your AVPs, VPs, and Gartner Group talking points have you set down a misguided path only applicable to a minority of lean, well structured, purpose-built companies. Meanwhile you navigate The Titanic based on a Vendor Powerpoint as the tail continues to wag the dog. Good luck. You’re going to need it.

25 years of service - worked remote for 13 years successfully. Highest rated, IPI/KCA/Connection awards every single year. I was remote WELL BEFORE COVID so you know where you can shove your post, sir.

And when I was in the office, I had high quality equipment, a dedicated workspace and office supplies. Everything we DON’T have right now.

Kindly eat dirt.

The thing about RTO is, it costs money to maintain offices. But, with the commercial real estate (office building) collapse, offices are cheaper now. There are plenty of buildings seeking tenants. So, there are deals for companies that want to set up offices.

Hmm sounds like they intend to provide adequate seating and resources for the people they are bringing into the office.

Not the same thing.
