Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

RTO is a layoff and nothing else

Don’t be fooled. Hours are way down on average, productivity measures have plummeted over 30%. You don’t have assigned space. If the intention of RTO was honest you wouldn’t see these things happen. They want you to leave. Do not move your family for this company.

It is simply asking you to go to the office. Nothing else.

I would say response rates are a tad faster during the regular work week if I’m being honest, but not much faster. However, if you need something after hours good luck. That is non-existent. People used to stick around to handle things, not any more.

Wow! I had no idea driving to the office loses 50% of your brain power.

I am glad I fly to go on vacations.

If the intention of RTO was honest

The legal department won't let them be honest about what they are doing, because it is illegal age discrimination.

“Hours are way down on average, productivity measures have plummeted over 30%. “

This isn’t true at all.

True. Plus don’t forget all the wasted focus on RTO and changes which serve as a distraction from getting work done. It feels more like I’ve lost 50% of my teams brainpower because of RTO.
