I was let go in December. I had 35 years so technically I'm an active AT&T retiree. Still waiting to get info on choosing my retirement gift. I do have access to the new website, so I can see the choices. Does anyone know how many points it is for retirement? Thanks.

How do you get your login? they transitioned to this new system but never provided any information to folks who let go at the end of 2024.
Contact your manager about paying for your retirement dinner. Need a place which will take the credit card over the phone. You’ll have to pay above the $500. Don’t leave a penny on the table. They are retooling the platform for the retire gifts, you’ll have a certain period of time from when they notify you order your gift. A lot of folks are waiting. No communication just all of us in the same boat
The subsidized medical for retirees went away for new retirees three or four years ago. If you were getting to your mid 50s during that time it was ideal to have retired then.
Got the one year subscription to the jelly of the month club. A gift that keeps giving, all year round.
Medical benefit is the biggest reason most don’t retire before Medicare eligibility. Anyone staying after that with that many years of service just doesn’t have a life. Between SSI and pension, you will probably make more money than working. I plan to retire by mid 50’s, but I have VA benefits I can get until Medicare kicks in.
550 points seems to the standard for retirement from what I have seen.

Folks forced to RTO are just understandably bitter. Your time will come. We took our fat severance checks, bloated pensions and just can’t wait to cash in on our final gift for enduring this chaos for as long as we have.
It's clear you don't know much. Retiree benefits do exist. Get back to work and stop worrying about us old-timers. Hopefully, you're smart enough not to use your work device for commenting on this website. (Thinking you're not).

Because...Medicare eligible. And it's a whole lot easier to stay on a job you're performing well than get a new job/career at 50 because people (ahem) tend to be ageist and think that anyone over 50 should be in a nursing home and not a contributing part of the workplace. Very few people can retire at 50-55 and not be ruined by some medical event before they're Medicare eligible.

I put in 35 years, so I will take what is owed to me, even if it's a cheap item from China. Based on your child like comment, I don't think you'll need to worry about getting a retirement gift.
When I retired with 34 years I got a very nice Waterford lamp. Then when I got it I liked it so much I got another one from Waterford directly. It cost me about $900. Love them in my bedroom. I am unaware of points however.
For my lunch/dinner party I took three people to a very nice steak place. I went $50 over and paid it out of my pocket. We had such a good time.
You must be new to this website which has been up for many years. The name of the website is "thelayoff.com"... Not "RTOComplaining.com". And for those of us that have been let go, we do have access to that info, so I was asking a simple question on this website "thelayoff.com". If you do not know, then do not reply.
