Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

PC Hardware Redeployment LOL/LMAO whatever. this company is so cheap

With return to the office, spare PC equipment may be found that can be redeployed. Utilizing redeployed equipment rather than ordering new saves the organization out of pocket expense, additional lease costs, and ensures that we are being good stewards of company resources. ACE East is focused on using redeployed equipment whenever possible, and can use the following peripherals and accessories to fill requests:
🖥️ 22” – 24” Flat panel monitors
🔌 USB-C docking hubs (HP-G5, Dell WD19S, CODI Travel Dock)
🔋 USB-C type power adapters for laptops
⌨️ Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combos (MK710, M705) Including USB transmitter
🎥 Video cables and adapters (HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI)
🌐 USB-C to Ethernet adapters
🎒 Laptop carrying cases and backpacks

If you have any of these items that are spare, please work with your local supply attendants or send via company mail and reroute tag to:

Redeployment
Attn:

If you have a lease rolled computer which needs to be returned to the Depot, you can print a return UPS label or request a full packing kit at this link: ask&GET Portal (att.com)

If you have secondary home monitors, they can be returned to the office for local redeployment – i.e., new team members, upgrade/replace old equipment. If there is no local need, they can be returned to Depot for redeployment.

For questions about returning other equipment or for assistance requesting redeployed devices, please reach out to

Gross. Using someone's old keyboard is like using someone else's old toilet seat.

You pi-s on your keyboard?

Robert Walter’s at his finest. Dude is so cheap, I’m not surprised one bit. You guys are going to be reusing napkins and toilet paper soon. Anything to save a buck.

Repurpose old junk equipment to save $50 while keeping the cash spigot wide open, spending millions of dollars on a failing Ticketing program with no end in sight. This is why we hate IT.

Ok, but if it's a progressive company, it's considered eco-friendly initiatives? Why should they buy a new monitor if there are 10 perfectly good ones in the office?

T has been doing this equipment redeployment for years; it's nothing new.

Start looking for another job before T decides for you. Take that as a red flag about receiving used equipment.

It’s like they’re begging for scraps. 😂 Can I donate my own personal outdated computer items too?

What a joke.

I don't see a problem with this. Saves more money than continuously buying new and filling landfills.
