Credit Card underwriting PSA

For any laid off underwriters out there considering applying for the credit card underwriting positions recently posted, I would stay away. The department is terrible, management is rude and the micromanaging is on a whole other level. Literally everything you do is tracked. Turnover is high as you can imagine. I was unfortunate to accept the position about 3 years ago and have had a difficult time posting out. I’m afraid I’ll be terminated before I’m able to find another position. Beware.

If you're going to cry, then offer a solution.

I work in ITAT & the amount of CC’s approved that end up being ID theft is fu--ing pathetic. Fire any id--ts in there.

Shame. I applied for an underwriting job in card 2 days ago. Guess I’ll withdraw because I can’t stand aggressive micromanagement. Thanks for the heads up

I can attest to what the op is saying. Every second of your day is tracked and held against you, even meetings that run over are held against you. Want to take PTO? Forget about it. This department is very toxic and no matter what you do they will find something to hold over you.

Sounds very similar to the toxic environment Carrie T's team had created years ago. Something very bad is waiting to happen.

The amount of "tracking" busywork that this management team is implementing just highlights their cluelessness to how the business actually works.
