@vx+1jmfqnarz, then why don't their software programs work properly? Every software they develop always has millions of bugs. You call that being productive???

Indian labor is not cheaper than American because they are more productive. It is cheaper because of lower living standards in India. We should add a tax on outsourced jobs to level the playing field between labour markets.

When we started hiring them on, around 2018, my manager then told me they were paid around 20k annually.

@ea+1jmfqnarz

They don't care about PTO. What Shart wants to do is eliminate anyone that started at WF before him, because he believes every one of us is the "cause" for WFs past sins and, more importantly, we remember a time when leadership didn't hate us. He can't have those types around telling the noobs that WF used to actually be a good place to work.

A couple of years ago the equation was 1 US developer == 3 offshore developers

It is probably 3 or maybe 4

No chance that they pay 50k per resource. The number is closer to 25k or less.
The rupee has depreciated a bit

7 for $150K base - that is not true! It is probably 3 or maybe 4

It does seem like they are targeting people who have been with the company for a long time. Maybe PTO is another factor?

For those people with 10/15/20/25+ years they're away a lot more than someone who is a new hire.

I'm pretty sure they're targeting those over 150k base. Those at 150k base. And those under 150k base.

These bean counters are corrupt and while they sit back making millions to host these “ask me anything” parties as if everyone is supposed to feel “honored” with their presence before returning to their cubes where the evil corrupt regime crack the whip on the do’ers to keep doing more and more to “earn” a meets and a few bucks so they can get huge bonuses to add to their millions. We are the ridiculous ones for continuing to work in this pathetic place. There is a reason why word in the development community is to never work at the banks as they trade horrible management staff between them, and you will not come away from there with your mental health in tact. People should get out as life is too short.

Indians are financially dirt cheap. Unfortunately their quality is also dirt cheap. You get what you pay for. Wells Fargo is becoming like Boeing.

I actually heard the other way around. They want to move all jobs from there to onsite due to regulatory requirements and bump US salaries by 10%
