Do your job, meet/exceed your goals and you'll get at least a meets rating, right? And you'd better make sure you are 1000% every single day. And if you happen to be <1000% once, that's all they'll remember and give you a less than meets. And this is done during calibration by managers who don't know you or what work you do.

Been meets or exceeds all 15 years and was meets at mid year then they bring back rto 2nd half of 2024 and roll out a manual production tracker so my manager knows what I am doing get inconsistently meets. Meanwhile Chuckles offshores jobs, gets us in more trouble with regulators all the time and constantly fkng things up and he gets a record high bonus like his performance review was a super exceeds platinum on steroids. When all he did was cut headcount of middle class workers and externally hire his friends with huge salaries that could have kept teams of people with jobs vs 1 person. You can’t make this stuff up. Him and Elon prolly strategizing on DOGE too.
I did the bare minimum in 2024 and got a meets. I will never go above and beyond ever again.
Ratings have to be manipulated to give the raises to who they want. It is just a leve. some managers say it is expectations. They expect a lot of meets. Grow your skills every year. Don’t stagnate. Do the minimum you may not meet
If you exceed then you are being played. Here’s how serivces work - the bank says do x and we will pay y. If you do. X plus more and they still pay you y then you are a schmuck.
Yeah tired of going above and beyond in the job role only to be considered a meets because my bosses boss who has never met me is a "hardliner" on those things. The only way to be an exceeds is by gulping down the company kool-aid, treating higher ups like they're celebrities and schmooze.
I "exceed" every year but still get a meets. I'm done "exceeding" - please show me the door and let it hit me on the way out on the way to a steak dinner.
