CNY friends, Please prepare yourselves now. I assure you. You will be let go, maybe not this round, but the next. I heard another round of layoffs in March. It’s only a matter of time. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll be offered to relocate. I was not offered that. And I had 15 years and exceptional reviews throughout my career. Trust me, for CNY, your performance has nothing to do with it! Just devastating for all involved.

Idg why this location , which is low cost, was closed out of all the others like PA and NY which are paying people ridiculous amounts of money for our teams to hand hold them and tell them what to do. That building remains empty and i hope for karmas sake they have to put us back in there or keep paying for an empty building. Sr mgmt really are mo--ns

Yes. I was let go this week, along with many others. The writing on the wall is clear: BNY wants desperately to return to an on-site focus, and they will use any excuse they can to put the axe to their WFH employees from closed sites. If you are one of those people, make sure your performance is "Exceeds" every year (or at least "Meets" with extracurriculars on record), and don't give them any ammo. Unfortunately when you are just a number on a page, you must do everything in your power to remain valuable.

@an+1jmg651rd - where tf you getting your info? Im a VP out of that location and no everyone wont be gone from it. Other areas were hit harder for layoffs dipsh-t and this location is ONE fully remote out of a dozen and still going. Plus that building sits empty over a year later so you think they will continue to pay to not use it. They cant sell it and their investors backed out months ago

Sorry to hear. It’s a shame of what has become of the CNY staff and locations. What area was affected?
