Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Meets without a raise?

I was rated as "meets", despite out producing several on my team. Despite my feedback in the year-end detailing my accomplishments as they relate to the 2024 goals, I didn't get a salary increase. However, I did get some bonus. Did anyone else experience this? My manager couldn't provide concrete rationale. This must be how it works around here.

Sounds like this is Small Business. I have some friends who are mgrs in that group and they said they had to give no raise and reduction in bonus to meets. Heard it from more than one mgr.

This in happened to me. I got my bonus, but no raise.
I was told last year that our remote team members are on the chopping block for Q2 this year.
I'm expecting it, so this seems to make sense.

It has to do with where your salary falls in your pay range. If you are in the top portion of your pay range for your position they either eliminate or give nominal salary increases.

It is how HR administers pay equity across the organization.

Get another job if you think you deserve more. If you love the company, come back at higher comp.

The way I would take this is they are telling you what they think of you. If you think you're capable, hit the job market and show them what you think of the insulting raise (well, loss really since inflation is up and your salary is flat).

Same here. Got Meets but no merit. I've been Exceeds most of my career here. I didn't miss a single deadline, yet my peers did miss. Many of them still got a raise, even a person who is new to the company still got a raise (not suggesting they didn't deserve it). I'm non-hub tho, so it's obvious why... even if management won't admit it.

A bunch of people in WIM ended up with not raises and they were subsequently laid off two weeks ago.

My manager expired this to us. The problem is the budget for raises is chronically underfunded despite massive profits and the dollars get eaten up by the promotions. So everyone else gets shortchanged.

This company is run by a bunch of arrogant losers who must have been bullied as children and they are the bullies now. You can’t voice an actual good idea because if you come up with great solutions that they didn’t come up with, they will lay you off because you are a threat to their over paid power. Worst toxic company I’ve ever seen. This company has to be taking a nose dive… especially with all the loser managers that they’ve been hiring from BofA. Best advice is to go somewhere else before you lose your skills at this worthless company.

Oh no. I'm sorry. Maybe that's how it's done when a person is slated for the layoff. That way, they don't need to pay as much severance. Dirty trick!
