91% of Gen Z say they want a balance between in-person and remote work

Literally no one likes RTO. And 70% of companies still operate in a hybrid model. Nobody is supporting 5x8. 3 days was more than enough to pretend like there’s “collaboration”. RTO 5x8 is nothing more than a layoff. Don’t be fooled.

Oh my my, the wh1n1ng and cry1ng from these bab1es just never stops.

JUST GO TO WORK like a regular employed person, AND WORK !

In case you don't know: You are not special and only you and your m0mmy think so.

Then, when your shift is over, you can run back to momm1es and hide in her basement while wrapped in your boo-hoo-blankie as your tears soak your pillow.

The bab1es wh1ne because they are not treated like adults, but then the really start cry1ng when the are expected to act like adults.......

One day you might grow up, might......

You want balance in your life, then get a job with McDonalds so you can pick your schedule and have more free time with your friends and family! if you don't want to work for a living, then why did you bother going to college?

Boomers ride off into the sunset and millennials and gen z leave due to unhappiness.

Does that mean Gen X is left to keep the grind...again? Why does it feel like we get left holding the basket with all the work and none of the glory?

Here's a source for the info in the original post from ITPro.com:
example.com/4k2rxOJ

But that couldn't have been the source, because the article goes on to tell us that:
"Only around 57% of Gen Z workers felt successful in their careers, compared to 70% of millennials and 66% of Gen X. Meanwhile, 95% of younger workers understand that making personal business connections is important to achieving success in their jobs, but many lack such relationships in comparison with older staff."

So while they want to work hybrid or remote, they also realize that being in person in critical for success. My own kids have commented that their friends who started and/or have remained fully remote have diminishing social skills. They squawk when they are asked to do anything in person. They develop these weird personal habits (like eating and routine) that are governed by the solitary nature of their days. And unless they were really outgoing and had a good friend base, their social life actually suffered because no one was around to say hey--want to go to lunch, dinner, what you doing this weekend, etc.

The article above is a good read, and provides a lot of good info if someone doesn't cherry-pick it for a headline.

Quit repeating old data from 2023.

Please try to get some more up to date sources. Here's one, B2B (Business to Business) from October 2024: example.com/41bfMMZ

Yes, 71% (or 70% based on Forbes article source) were hybrid in 2023. However, "despite increasing demands for flexible work options, about 51% of employers currently require some or all of their employees to be in person."

"90% of companies plan to implement return-to-office (RTO) policies by the end of 2024." and...
"Executives expect that only 16.3% of their employees will be hybrid by 2028."

Gen Z “You are not the boss. You are very low on the totem poll”. Grasp it and you will understand.

You realize they just won’t work at places with these policies, right? Good luck hiring replacements for the people you want to retire, dope.

"Almost 100% of companies and government entities are going to 100% RTO."

Completely incorrect. Only the federal government is moving to 5x. Most state governments and companies are still operating under a hybrid work schedule.

3 day RTO is a single announcement away from being reinstated. They just need to keep the poker face up for you simpletons. Once the undesirable culture and olders have been purged, and the statistically overrepresented PoC have been supplanted, that yapping bit$h Jeremy will declare victory and act like he’s your champion. Good luck hiring. You’ve now closed your talent pool down to 9%. That 9% who will apply are low value and the most desperate. They will take anything because nobody wants them and they can’t afford to be picky.

Sounds like 5 day RTO isn’t the best way to acquire top talent. Bunch of mo--ns calling the shots here. We need change.
