How many sick and caregiver days have you used so far in 2025? More than the same period in 2024? Seems like people are using them more in RTO was forced upon us.

You can also take consecutive days too! Like Monday & Tuesday or Thursday & Friday to extend your weekend. wink, wink.
Look up the policy. It's caregiver time. It's not just for caring for the sick. You can use it for moving a relative, sick child at home, reading a book to your elderly parent that lives in a nursing home. Taking someone to a doctor's appointment. many things.. and you do not need to tell your supervisor why you are taking the day or have documentation. Just say you need to do it. increments of 2 hours or full days. You're entitled to those days so you do not need to use your PTO days.
my boss said caregiver can be used only if there is a "real" sick in the family.
Zilch
I’m using those days frequently. I have a side gig and those paid days come handy whenever I have to be outside the office making extra $$$ selling RE. Thank you T.
Thank you T.
You do not get sick days, when you are sick you are sick. In old days even sick I would log in to make sure the “sky wasn’t falling”. But after decades of dedicated loyalty and work you still get cut to fix the ceos issues.
Take your care days and when you are sick be sick!!!
Never used a sick day in 30 years. Came to work a few times not feeling my best (not contagious) but still did it because I was always told coded sick days by management get “attention”. Still haven’t used caregiver days over the last 3-4 years, again, for fear of showing up on that “attention” list. I don’t help the company with the DEI numbers (you know the three strikes) so adding another item like using sick/caregiver days is just something I did not want to touch.
But now with this ridiculous non-designated / fight for your workspace, no available nearby parking, overpriced cafeteria food, not to mention uninspired work and leadership, I think I’ll start using those days this year.
I’ve had sick kids over the years, and worked from home during those times, but now with caregiver, I’ve been told to not even log in. So I am willing to be productive, just at my house, but the company doesn’t want that? So messed up.
I use 1-2 a month. I could retire tomorrow if I wanted to, but I’ll just stick around until they lay me off to get my severance. I don’t really care anymore, so I just show up and pass the time chatting with people in the office. Gives me something to do.
I’ve used one every other week on Fridays. RTO makes life really hard. Planning to be laid off or retiring/exiting the company within another year or so.
Use your benefits to the max. Don’t leave any unused days that you are entitled for. Milk this cow like Stankey does.
None. Never had even one.
I have used all of mine already. Ge-z
0 this year. 2 total in 34+ years.
Using them for sure, and it's all legit with doctor's visit records, etc. , should I ever need to produce them. Paid bereavement as well. Sent my boss the obituary of the family member that passed. Was not asked to provide the body.
I’ve used one every other week so far on Friday’s. RTO is the worst and I plan on retiring or getting laid off in the next 6 months.
"Be sure you take all your caregiver days first since they will not pay out your vacation days if they lay you off."
You said that kind of backwards . . . take the caregiver days first because they will only pay accrued vacation days should you be layedoff. They will not pay for caregiver days.
Be sure you take all your caregiver days first since they will not pay out your vacation days if they lay you off.
I have 1 day so far but will get all of them in before the end of the year.
Zero
I’ve used 6 so far 1-2 a week
