AT&T Culture - DO NOT WORK HERE

RTO has made this place a misery. Everyone couldn’t be more unhappy and employee morale has never been lower. This is probably the most toxic company in existence. Everyone either has one foot out the door looking for real opportunities where they feel respected, or they are hanging on waiting 3-5 years until they retire.

In 25 years I’ve never seen it this bad. There is no trust between managers and leadership. All the workers are burned out and pi---d off.

I didn’t realize how bad it was until I spoke to a peer today, someone I consider a mentor and always looked at with admiration for his work ethic… then he says he has no more care in him. Too many people have just given up and he’s stuck doing their work and he simply doesn’t care anymore. He’s only waiting until the 75 rule. Sad to witness.

I was talking to some guy who's been here well over 25 years. We were talking about annual reviews, and I know this guy is tops in his group, and I was being nosey, so I said, bet you can't wait for raises, cause I'm sure you're knocking on top tier.

He said while his job description has changed over the years, and he's gotten bumps in pay that way, that he actually has never made it to the middle of the mid-range. And last year, even with a great review and a raise, he actually fell out of the mid-tier altogether by a couple thousand bucks. The guy is amazingly upbeat and says that he's making more than he's ever made in his life, but I don't think he realizes his worth. I don't want to be that guy...#opentowork

I'm sorry, but if you're posting this here, you're preaching to the choir.

I was a top performer and now just hate working here. I am one of those 1 foot outside looking for real opportunities that align with my values and goals. T isnt it anymore. Now, i am mute mode, doing bare minimum, cooking my meals all week, i sure as he-l wont be supporting any businesses in a zip code t is at, then get the he-l out.

OP is spot on. This place su-ks. T can give a 10% merit increase across the board, provide every employee a 10k connection award and go fully remote and this place will still su-k. Not sure how they will fix this mess. I am a top performer and never in a million years would think I would completely stop caring but here I am thanks to the c suite id--ts.
