Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Former T Employees

  • are funny coming on this site to rub us about why their life is so much better now that they left, yet they still come back here, like as if they do really miss us and T. Through the years I've seen numerous people come back to work at T and most admit that the grass isn't always greener out there.

I was on jury duty for a homic--e case. Every now and then I check to make sure the dude is still is prison. It doesn’t make me want to go back to jury duty on that case. Lol

Out for about a year and a half so far. No regrets whatsoever and the grass is way greener so far. I still have a lot of friends working there and after years of coming here as an employee, it's just still in the rotation to see what's up.

Hope those who want out, get out. And for those who stay, I really wouldn't expect it to change. All those retiree benefit removals a few years ago was the tip of the iceberg. Seen any positive progress or signs since then?

I come back to this site every once in a blue moon to see what's going on in the corporate world. I love my retirement and left at a good time. I can now cut my grass, go grocery shopping, take care of my children, take care of my grandchildren, walk the dog, go to all my medical appointments, get the car washed, work another job and now no longer need to do it on company time. LOL! LMAO! You whiners are such su-kers! PS the government is now making 2.5 million people that did the same thing WFH by mandating them back into the office. So sad too bad. YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING!!!!!

The OP's point is proven by the replies from former employees who apparently don't have a complete life outside of T. Perhaps it's an obsession or mental disorder, however the good news is that it's treatable. Please seek help.

Been retired for a decade+.
Just here to make fun of T, pass on info and hopefully let those reading this thread know where they can get a better deal.
And brag a little. Grass is greener, healthier, taller away from the Tee (P at&t).

I follow the site because once in a blue moon, in-between all the trolls and chuckleheads, I pick up a tidbit that affects my retirement and I share my experience occasionally as to give genuine advise and encouragement to others.

If you come to the site as a former employee you probably do so to laugh at id--ts who still work there. Typically ATT cult member to think it’s all about you.

To the OP's point, the first three replies from former employees passively and continually coming back to this site appears to show and confirm their deep connection to T, quite possibly even demonstrating regret for leaving, although they'd never admit that. Regardless, it seems hilarious that their little lives continue to apparently feel a need to stay connected to the T world.

I come back to the site as a curiosity. My life is much better in every aspect, I have no reason to lie about that. I know the guy that post we aren’t over T believes that we are over it but the truth is, you are a complete dum--ss for working at T and whether we are happier now or not, you still work there and have to suffer every day. I think you are smart enough to know the truth. We escaped, you didn’t and just because we drive by the jail to look at it doesn’t mean we want to be back inside.

Sometimes when I’m bored, scrolling while watching tv, I’ll come here and laugh at the ridiculousness this corrupt CEO dinosaur does to my former colleagues.

The grass really is greener, btw.

I would not hold your breath for employees to come back in this sh---y environment.

OR, maybe they just want to provide some encouragement to those so disillusioned with T. Maybe they do miss their former coworkers and maybe even the work, but unlike most of us, were in the position to leave or maybe even forced to leave. Maybe think as a positive instead of negative that some former employee might look at this site to help someone.

Coming back here reconfirms that I made the right choice in leaving. I am also a stock holder and I'm interested on how things are being run.

I’m coming here to see how miserable you guys are in the hands of the psychopath. It reassures me that I made the best move to leave. Now I’m in the process of healing. Taking care of myself.
