Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Parking in Plano

is getting ridiculous. Not because there isn’t enough, but because my fellow coworkers love to park in the pedestrian crosswalks and fire lines. There is parking across the street on both sides of the building and also at the other AT&T property up the road (shuttle provided).

Spent 10 minutes cruising the lots today. Found a single open space at the Dallas News lot.

14 months at this location. Never had a problem with parking, never even had to use the overflow parking lot. Never spent more than 10 seconds to find a desk. I do see a trend where more employees are camping on drop-in desks, leaving items on the desk to personalize it as if it is their assigned desk. That is becoming a problem.

Arrive at 8 and piddle for 2 hours. Go run errands and then go home for lunch and a nap. Return at 4 and spend an hour responding to a few emails and collaborating. This is better than WFH ever was.

Parking in the aisle, pedestrian crosswalk, and EV charging spots. Building security is worthless.

@fr+1jmz3ff2w - you sound like a low performer who likely ought to be let go.

How quickly are the parking lots filled to capacity? I need to go in 1 day this month.

Half of the population of India is in Plano already

Who cares where other people park??
Keep your own porch swept and don't worry about petty cr@p.

I don't care so much about the crosswalks as I do the fire lanes. With all the "work" they're doing to buildings, and all the extra draw that comes with so many more people in a building than originally designed, I'd really like the FD to be able to get where they need to go when there's an issue.

Your alternative is downtown Dallas so shut up. It could be worse.

It is madness! The building staff also will not sticker or tag cars who park in fire lanes, blocking cross walks or double park.

Don't worry. Plano campus won't be around for too much longer.
