I applied and got a lateral verbal offer for a P5 in charlottee.I have been told that in order to provide the offer letter the relocation assistance offer should be part of it.its been 9 weeks since I was told everything is ready once the relication package is signed and approved.Does anyone know if it takes forever to approve a relication package request from a hiring manager?

Sounds like the manager may have overstepped on the relo offer. Probably having problems behind the scenes getting it approved. It's rare to offer relocation package for open reqs unless it's due to WLS and those offers are approved at the OC level.
Who would leave Irvine for Charlotte?!
Also, never trust a WF relocation.
You will be laid off within 6 mo. of moving.

TBH, this is the first time I’ve ever heard of the company paying for relocation…must be nice! All us P1 employees down here in steerage can only wonder what it’s like to afforded for such luxuries!

That’s a big life change. I love Charlotte but be sure you want to move here long-term. If not stay in CA and leave WF. Probability of layoff is high. You must really love your WF masters.
