Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Coffee badging is back!

Only now, everyone’s coffee badging and leaving their laptops at work.

Half the laptops I see are abandoned all day long.

You people crack me up!

" Look up once in a while. Know your surroundings. IR Sensors being installed at some locations. They claim they want to understand usage patterns for building occupancy optimization. Sure they do. Their little minds think that they can successfully create reliable heat map correlations with unproductive employees"

This is hilarious.

We are talking about a company that can't produce an accurate report simply based on when their employees are plugged in.

This guy believes they are going to track us by heat signature , LOL

Yep, someone next to me with a very desireable cube did that the other day. So, I went over and turned his computer off at about 9am, and they did not return until after 1pm. I wonder what the presence report will look like for him.

Look up once in a while. Know your surroundings. IR Sensors being installed at some locations. They claim they want to understand usage patterns for building occupancy optimization. Sure they do. Their little minds think that they can successfully create reliable heat map correlations with unproductive employees:

  • idle laptop at desk but overhead IR sensor shows it is occupied.
  • employee attending meeting but laptop IR camera shows employee on cell phone.
  • water cooler gatherings outside of conference room captured with overhead IR sensor

These heat maps are used to create patterns of predictability. Big d-mb brother is watching. You think the presence report is bad. This will be just another vendor cash grab project.

I smell a business opportunity. $20/day, I’ll babysit your laptop. Then the Karen’s won’t see vacant laptops at empty desks, laptop is secure, and you can go have your conference room meeting.

"Let me get this straight, you walk through the office to check who is at their desk?”

Not sure where you work, but literally everyone walks around all day long where I’m at.

“ thats an OP78 violation.”

Laptop needs to be secured. Laptop locked with a cable in a secure locked building location is not an OP78 violation.

"Let me get this straight, you walk through the office to check who is at their desk? Don’t you have work to do? This is not kindergarten boy. Grow up and get a life."

I do have work to do but prefer walking around checking out laptops. Ya feel me? And this is kindergarten. Somebody is literally watching what we do every few minutes. Ping this tower. Geofence that device.

Stop acting like the adults in the room aren't children. Our CEO is in his 60s and cares more about RTO then challenging T-Mobile and Verizon. Both are eating our lunch! Boy!

BWAAHHAAA!!!!!!
FLUX with us employees and we FLUX you back Jack.
Look guys, we’re dealing with over paid stupid id--ts. AVP’s on up have nothing above their shoulders except fat lying lips and two weeks worth of talking point crammed in their little hen pecked brains. They brought the fight when they assumed they were feared and respected. They are neither. Just a big joke to us all.

Laptops remain on the desk unmanned as we step away to “collaborate” our poductivity up your a$$.

You can’t take laptop with you for that onsite meeting as you will lose your seat. Additionally you need the LAN connection to meet your hours in the office. WiFi is sporadic at collecting data.
