Laid off - what to expect

So if anyone has exp after being laid off how long did it take to get an information package from hr and did your manager have a conversation with you by themselves or was hr there in the meeting.

No HR in the meeting. Information came the next day. You get 30 days pay and 45 days (from the day you were notified) to sign off agreeing to the terms of the severance package.

Sorry to hear this. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I get it if somebody’s not doing their job but they force ranking people so somebody has to be partially met and they’re using this as a basis to sc--w people out of what they earned so they can pay their pockets. I can only hope karma gets them bad and soon

@da+1jn4ns321 3 years in December. Found out during comp day that my ratings were partially met expectations and then sent paperwork today saying I only have 30 days of benefits.

The greedy execs are sc--wing people out of their severence by using the bogus forced rankings as justification - therefore only 30days pay in these situations

Did the cut your severance for only 1 month?

Didn’t have a chance to say yes or no just told I was let go because of performance for a year end review which I was never given at the end of last year. I was told 30 days of pay and insurance, no hr just manager. To some people on this site who mentioned that one should complain to hr for this non compliance on the management side are a 100% correct

Just a manager asking for a quick 15 minutes followed by a script. And told I had 3 days to decide whether to take the package or do a sui-idal 12 month rolling pip. Took the package and went to another firm. Don't do the rolling pip, they fire you anyways with cause and you get no unemployment insurance.
