In breaking news, spans/layers was just another fake excuse for firing people. Just like RTO, location strat, efficiency, and all the rest. The real objective is to eliminate the domestic workforce. All these alleged reasons for downsizing are just PR. That's all they have ever been. FHY.

There are Directors with no employees that report to them. How is this allowed? Thought they had to have at least seven?

@az+1jn4y3w25, not so fast. I know many Sr managers who have direct reports, but they do nothing except just attending mindless meetings. Those useless Sr managers also need to be cut.
I know many overpaid SVPs and overpaid EDs who have no direct reports. I have no idea what they do. Those people should be subject to Elon's DOGE cost reduction protocol.

You mean because of a title? That'll get fixed. Also, news flash, if they get moved to an individual contributor role, they'll still get paid that same. We appreciate your complaint though.
Just because you are not managing people doesn't mean you are not managing a process.
