For those that have been laid off recently, did you get insurance for any amount of time?

@n0 yes, they changed to lump sum severance. Medical benefits stop the last day of the month of your separation. They will pay you a healthcare stipend capped at 20 weeks. Both the stipend and the severance are taxed heavily around 40%. Unemployment can be collected after you weeks of pay run out. So say you get 10 weeks lump sum severance, after 10 weeks if you are still unemployed then your can file and collect. If you find a job at anytime, you can keep all the severance unlike the old sub pay plan which would stop paying out if you found employment.
Did sub-plan change to severance?
I got sub-plan last year. I know you get unemployment with sub-pay but not with severance. I guess they change in covering medical benefits.

And you won’t get any from HR either unless you spend 2 weeks emailing, calling, escalating.
Contact HR.
You won’t get facts here.
@a5+1jn4ywta4 Forgot. It was buried at the bottom of an email they sent out a few weeks ago about w2’s.
@a5+1jn4ywta4 Yes just money equivalent to their portion. It’s up to you to use that money to find health insurance or if you’re lucky go on your spouse’s plan or find a new job quick and keep the money.
Health insurance. I saw a post a week ago that said they capped health coverage at 20 weeks, but am also hearing they aren't giving insurance at all. Just money.
What kind of ‘insurance’ original poster? Layoff insurance? If that’s what you meant, then most don’t and … it is limited in what it covers. Usually your mortgage and health care deductibles for example. And you cannot buy it once your are laid off and unemployed.
