Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Black and DE&I

Why do the posts on DE&I always mention black people. Blacks are 13% of Wells Fargo in US and less than 10% globally. Most of these folks are at branches and client facing in places like Compton, LA, the Bronx etc. There are only around 150 black people director and above at Wells Fargo…. When there are 3000 of these folks globally…. If you cut the Kristy’s team then you would be cutting 12 director and above max….

Search elsewhere for DE&I anger. Black folks are not benefitting at Wells Fargo. Sure there was a diverse slate but blacks and Hispanics were not getting hired… white women and g-y white men were ….

“ If they can have black TV network and black history month, why can't we have white TV network and white history month?”

White history happens all the time in the USA.

Just wait till Whites being a majority is history, then you'll really lose it.

Because it makes you evil. As a matter of fact, just asking that question alone makes you evil and you should be terminated. Only white people, by default in just by being white, are evil. You should know this by now.

Anything a white person has, done, accomplished or own, its ONLY because they are white that it was given to them and it needs to be stripped away.

Anything a non-white person has, done, accomplished or owns, its solely done so due to the hard work and overcoming the huge seemingly insurmountable obstacles placed in their way by white people to keep them from progressing. They beat all the odds and need to be constantly celebrated.

All these racists tune in every week to watch black superiority on the gridiron. They cheer on "their" team.

Then they come here and complain about it not being white people.

What a bunch of cucks.

The biggest benefactors of DEI and affirmative action were white women. Not blacks, not hispanics, not LGBTQ.

From everything I see and hear about DEI or affirmative action it is code for whites don't want to hire blacks regardless of job qualification. The qualification they are referring to is not being white. Blacks are always said to be hired for race or quotas and not merit. But, all the blacks I know are either overqualified, highly qualified, or similarly qualified for the position. Only white people assume race when a black person is hired. The same old racist views that blacks are lazy, uneducated, or not capable. Reality is quite different.

Alot of lazy and entitled white folks that are upset that they have to compete with minorities. Mad that they can't slide by on their white race that is why they blindly follow Trump he is saying all the racist mess they want to hear.

Racism never died and white folks even well-meaning ones are just as racist and entitled as ever. Absolutely disgusting.

Have some pride, you folks need persistent government or quotas to get ahead. NBA example is perfect… reflect on that.

The original poster must not be in technology. 85% of the promotions under my director last year went to employees of Asian descent.

Always realize that WF would rather put a woman in a leadership role than a black person, which makes a lot of sense since so many are incompetent.
That is why blacks need to have special treatment like the special needs population. Let ls be real, there is minimum 10-15 IQ point deficit between blacks and the rest. This is why they are subject to emotional outbursts and low impulse shootings. Surprised that hasn’t worked it’s way into the office yet, although one WF worker pulled a g-n on a Burger King worker in my area when they got her drink order wrong.
We need a segregated society away from them, and only them. The rest are rarely a problem.

When I look at the NBA it is 85% black, let’s introduce DEI everywhere races aren’t evenly distributed. Obviously it favors one side right ? How about plumbers and brick layers ? Should we enforce this silly race accounting standards ?

I don’t necessarily think it’s always even a conscious decision to discriminate. People often move up if they become the mentees/favorites of those higher up with the power to make that call. Higher ups often have a subconscious bias for favoring those who remind them of themselves. If all the higher ups are have mostly been white dudes since forever, who do you think is gonna subconsciously remind them of themselves? Then it just perpetuates. The whole original point of DEI was supposed to be that it that may take a conscious effort to avoid subconscious bias.

Anyone ever notice there are rarely ever any white males represented on the Teamworks home page or in WF propaganda (besides Charlie and Scott)? Why is that?

When you read between the lines, the big push for DEI is just the top brass (aka the white man) virtue signaling. They DGAF about you or your story. They are strategically setting the company up to handle the next round racism allegations. Look, we love everyone…don’t fine us too hard.

Probably because blacks are the most maligned minority in US history. If you don't think black people were treated horribly by the US forefathers, google the phrase "give them blacks to eat".

It's uncomfortable reading, but it should give you a starting point for understanding just how badly America treated minorities. And that's only one segment of the USA's racist history.

Leadership should reflect its workforce, if it doesn't then its obvious there's an inherent bias. Additionally if you only have 1 viewpoint from a certain background you're limiting yourself to other perspectives and possibly other ways to do things. Many successful companies understand this. Some folks just can't get past their own biases and see other colors as being suited for top roles.

According to the US Censor Bureau, 13.7% of people in the US responded they were black, so if our US employee base is 13%, that's pretty close to representative.

The bigger issue is lack of representation in the C Suite, no?

Let's just say that blacks are typically hired becasue of the DEI affirmative action program, not because of their merit. That is WRONG!

Post ID: @a6+1jn5ke61a

Many blacks are hired solely because of their skin color regardless of their merit. That is the problem. DEI is not just about blacks. It includes LGBTQ, especially the gender fluid employees with weird pronouns. Additionally, we have Indian problems. Indians hire only Indians.
