Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Employee Appreciation Week?!

Ironic that this week which the company is "thrilled to celebrate each and every one" of us is the same week that probably thousands of us "appreciated employees" must submit our decision to move to Dallas or accept a layoff

'Jeremy answered the question in the Bothell Town Hall about assigned seating. He said "statistics show that, on average, only 75% to 80% of desks are occupied because of sick days, vacation days, etc. So having assigned desks for 100% of people assigned to the building isn't cost effective." '

Corey read the same script during a town hall

"...because this the week managers get their bonuses for taking away workers extra pay..."

100% sure this is the same bargained for clown that is on here trashing non bargained for regularly, and gloating about them being laid off, bragging about how it can't happen to him because he has the "protection" of the Union contract.

Here's the thing, dimwit. We know you barely made it out of High School, but try and understand this.

You don't get to have it both ways.

Enjoy your contract. I am going to enjoy the heck out of this big bonus.

There is more going on at T than,
“ 5x8 is a pretty simple and clear rule. What part do you not understand?”

But glad you’re ‘starting’ to wake up and join us.

He said "statistics show that, on average, only 75% to 80% of desks are occupied because of sick days, vacation days, etc. So having assigned desks for 100% of people assigned to the building isn't cost effective." Now, he was saying that as he sat in Bothell with HIS office sitting empty, not getting used. Why isn't he using a drop-in desk?

So he's saying "it's okay when we waste money on what we (executives) want, but we can't spend it on you."

I can see a younger Jeremy with an elementary school aged son or daughter, where they ask for new soccer cleats because the old ones are too small. His answer - "we just can't afford those now, you'll have to just use the old ones." The next day, he comes home an shows off the new expensive gold shoes, because "daddy needed them".

100% spot on.

“Appreciation Week indeed! I chose not to relocate my family to Dallas and was given a surplus notice last week so Friday is my last day after 20+ years.”

Denial lets me blame others for my own poor decision making.

T has zero appreciation for the employees. Everything is a lip service. We dont need backpack, tv and camera tripod. We need flexibility.

"Everyone has had more than 2 years"

Not true. Follow the work was not publicized until summer of 2023 with the implementation of RTO. As well, no one was told in 2023 if they were going to be the ones that would be affected. You don't know that until your supervisor knows, and the supervisor does not always give you that information in a timely fashion. Regardless, the act is heartless considering the fact that Iam doing the same job now that I was hired by T to do 15 years ago. So, Fck Off!

Everyone has had more than 2 years to decide whether or not to relocate. This has been a gift showing appreciation.
