If you file a complaint against your manager because of his masagynists behavior,
Remember Wells Fargo Human Resources are trained not to take the side of the average worker. They will close ranks and protect their own before the situation becomes an embarrassment cfor the bank and decide to terminate me for alledge insubordination.
They promote equal diversity and opportunity, but always remind you of your station in life.

@dt+1jnh22avn cases are taken on contingency.
You are correct. Within 15 minutes the lawyer can assess the legality of the termination. The lawyer will want to see all your documents. They will assess if you are of a protected class. My lawyer said to me that about 1 in 25 potential cases are taken up. If you are lucky and the lawyer takes your case expect to spend at least 1/2 hour a day in getting additional information.
BTW most lawyers will take several weeks to get back to you. If they call you back in don't expect that they will still take your case. My lawyer said that they reject about 1 in 5 cases even after thinking they will take you on. In the second meeting they assess you to determine that you are way past the "anger" stage of the Kuber Ross. Lawyers don't like being psychologists.

You are foolish if you DO NOT contact an employment lawyer. I was illegally terminated and Wells Fargo gave me the finger. Well guess whose bills are now all paid off and retired early? The person who contacted an attorney. Thats who.

Wells Fargo assumes you will give in so have at least 6 months saved up and hire an attorney known for financial employment law. Cases are taken on contingency so no outlay of money.

They count on you to just run away. But you can fight them.

No need for hyperbole, rest assured that there are still millions of regulations that continue to choke the economy. Have a few been culled? Very very few.

The new administration doesn’t care about discrimination or employee complaints. All guardrails are being removed/ignored with federal government deregulation, so it feels like a waste of time and energy. Sad state

Job wasn't eliminated. This location strategy, while it may be "technically" legal, is BS. Mark my words, the company will not recover from this.

Call a lawyer and don’t buy into the nonsense. Employment lawyers only get paid if you win.

This type of layoff isn’t about position elimination—it’s about discrimination. They let go of people they don’t like and keep those they prefer. Don’t believe it? Look around at others in the same role with lower performance ratings who weren’t affected.

I wouldn't waste money on a lawyer. It's been said numerous times on this board (and every job site out there), but layoffs aren't about the person. They're about the position. And last I checked, "high performer" wasn't a protected class.

It s*cks to be laid off if you weren't expecting it and/or really need the job. But throwing money at a lawyer isn't going to help. I'd imagine a reputable employment lawyer would not take your money (or the case).

Now if you were laid off for illegal reasons such as ageism, disability, etc and can prove it, then would be the time to talk to a lawyer.
