Don’t trust your boss when they tell you to work hard. Management expects you to deliver best results, only to later lay you off through non-performance-based, cost-cutting layoffs, and replace you with cheaper employees in the same role (especially through India hiring).

Does anyone on this board understand finance, politics and real corp culture? Don't trust anyone under 50
My advice to technology department: Fire all H-1B Indians and bring back Americans. That's the only way we can restire good quality and morals.
In a previous job I was laid off days after assurances from our CEO. He was laid off with me but with a parachute. Management has little control over this at the lower levels. It comes as an email to them as well.
I got recently laid off and I am new to this layoff board. Looks like 80% of posters here are H1B Technology employees. Now I can see why most of these comments are so childish like high school kids' social media. These lazy technology kids are wasting company's time with layoff.com every day. They deserve to get laid off.
And your point is OP?

Extremely TOXIC!!
100% true. Be cautious about trusting managers—or anyone on the team. Keep your knowledge to yourself, and don’t overwork or stress yourself out. Play the game smartly. This place has become extremely toxic.
