Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Having dinner with C E O and others. What should I ask?

Happening in next month. What would you ask?

Ask them why they are so heartless and inept.

Tell him that the investment community is on to his ATT investment scams. His options are worthless and his parachute is stained, not golden, and has a hole in it.

Ask him if he understands how dehumanizing it is to have to sit at a different desk everyday with no personal items and nowhere near your teammates? Then having to use headphones all day just to be able to focus on your work and not hear everyone else’s calls, we are truly being treated like robots. Alpharetta office is like a pretty sweat shop. How hard it is to give us assigned desks with our team and add panels between the desks? Don't tell me there isn’t enough space. And when everyone hates workplace 2020 why are they building even more of it?

Who did he allow up his po-p shoot to keep his job after the multiple, tremendously bad decisions he made.

Ask them how they still manage to have a job after overpaying for so many acquisitions and failed mergers that cost the company so much money.

Nice job calling yourself out! Imagine HR is already all over his next 2 months dinner attendees to figure out who's coming this site. Way to go bro!

Politely decline the invite. It will be an exercise in frustration. They see things very differently than the average worker. Trying to get them to see things from your point of view is a waste of time.

Let him know he has done a wonderful job of making everyone hate this company! I’ve been here for years, and I have known people who dedicated their entire careers to this place to be totally sh-t on and cast aside for office seat-warmers. Used to be proud to say I worked here. Now the total opposite. I used to be excited, and now I HATE it here.

Ask him why he decided to not release the results of the very expensive McKinsey Organizational Health Index survey conducted last year.

Remind him that he personally assured all management that the results would be shared.

Ask him what he thinks lying about that does for his credibility, the culture, and morale.

Concessions in the AT&T guarantee seem paltry compared to the value that we promise as a premium service. How do you reconcile this? Why do you think we can compete on anything but price in a commodity utility market?
