I see a lot of people leaving the bank?
Where are they going?
Anybody hiring right now?

I started seeing less job postings in the last couple of weeks compared to the previous month. I wonder if the job market is reacting to the recession rumors, tariff wars, government downsizing, etc. When the new administration started, I was optimistic in the beginning, but after they declared a tariff war against Canada, I am not so sure anymore.
I am still employed but the writing is on the wall for my department. I don't want to lose the generous PTO or move to another state. I might be applying for one the Loan Closing Specialist positions that is posted at my site.
Thank you for this thread! I'm looking into carriers for Health Insurance or Personal Insurance i.e. Allstate for tech opportunities
I was in internal coms in SDI, and I left in August- transitioning to nonprofit/philanthropy work. Job market for anything communications is competitive, but I don't regret leaving.
My friend got a cosmetology license, opened her own salon, and she's making three times more what she made at Wells. Another friend built micro homes and he rents them on Airbnb, also making more money.
Out of finance
Logistics Manager at a small trucking firm. Last day at WF in COO was yesterday. I start new job in 3 weeks. Negotiated a rest in between. Less pay but not that much less, comparable benefits except 401k match is only 50% of up to 5% contribution. I'm 58 so wasn't too concerned about that piece. Just couldn't wait for the expected layoff any longer. Three weeks ago I was working an hour before my sons wedding. Enough of that crud.
Small community bank - took a paycut but completely remote. Benefits are better and somewhat more flexibility.
Ross Stores is hiring in their IT department.
This thread is very helpful and I like it (except that I would not go to JPM). I want to see more discussions on finding the next job rather than complaining about things beyond our control at WF. I will give two thumbs up.
Credit union, hybrid work, same pay and holidays, benefits not as good as WF.
Credit union, took a pay cut but fully remote job.
same here, left for a wfh position. credit union, less pay, less stress
I went to a startup, the pay did not change but if we sell or go IPO it'll be good (10% chance)...
I do work from home, the team is much smaller and there is less red tape.
The manager is decent, a good human being and he understand what I need to go through to raise two kids on my own - there is a ton of flexibility there.
The pace is relentless but it does not feel like the dreat I always felt here.
Overall, I am much better off granted that I am only three months here.
Outside of banking industry.
Not sure if it's much better at JPMorgan Chase but here it goes, open positions (source below):
