Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Can anyone explain Applause Points?

Why do they keep emailing us about this stuff? Why have an appreciation week when you’re in the middle of planning on laying of 10-20% of employees?

The lack of assigned seating TRULY makes me FURIOUS. Every single day starts out combative. I hate it.

Does anyone really want to engage with that when they treat employees like cr-p? They don't appreciate their employees and we all live it. Just the mere face that they will not establish permanent seating for employees to give them a place to sit and do their work hassle free is a perfect example of how much they hate their employees.

Someone posted awhile ago that they felt this was going to replace connection awards.

My opinion is that these points will ramp up, more people will get them in lieu of connection awards. CA’s will be drastically reduce (but still be given to a few on a smaller scale) until they completely get replaced with Applause.

Just another way to fully take more away from us.

I think it replaces connection awards. You get points now. Used to be you got an Individual Performance Incentive (IPI) on top of the company award, then it was connection awards. Idk I’ve only ever got a couple connection awards and they were small, but used to get IPIs every year that were close to the 10% mark. Used to be nice to get.

Yup I am getting the emails, and also follow up emails from the VPs hench person urging us to claim them.

The complete lack of engagement must be bothering them.
