Thread regarding Bank of New York Mellon Corp. layoffs

No one seems to care

The leadership is a mess. Decisions are made on a whim, with no real strategy behind them. It’s all about who you know. The environment is reactive and chaotic, not proactive at all. Promotions go to the people who are good at kissing up, not the ones who are actually qualified. Benefits are barely worth mentioning... A horrible workplace.

Stratetigic think tank? Forward thinking management? Management adapting to the future? Hahahahahahahahahhaha
That would explain why we need all these high paid management consulting firms. WE HAVE TOO MUCH MANAGEMENT! That’s the point of the thread alongside with what we have is flaccid and ineffective. Just go back to being a pompous case of pu--c scabies that you are

I'm at that point, too... I don't care. I really just don't care anymore. -.-
I used to, but those days/years are long gone.

I'm always shocked at how little time management take making decisions, often without having the full picture.
Like I spend more thought on what I'll have for lunch.

Seems to me that we need a substantial tariff on all foreigners stealing the BNY jobs from good hard working Americans, including on Robin, Camille and other senior management who have no idea how to run a US based bank.

If you understand how automation and AI operate, you’d realize like DOGE, HR is targeting roles involving repetitive tasks—not management. Whether you like it or not, management is forward-thinking and adapting to the future. This is not unlike your leader, Trump, who seems willing to push the country into a recession in pursuit of his vision of an isolated America—an impractical and unsustainable idea in today’s interconnected world. Just as we rely on countries like India and Poland for cost-effective services, inter dependency is unavoidable.

The reality is, it’s not the senior management—the ones setting the direction, right or wrong—who are at risk. It’s roles like yours, outside the strategic think tank, that are being replaced by AI systems like Eliza and its counterparts.

So if Musk policy is applied you will be out of the door most likely with no package than the Sr Management who will replace you in a blink with 3 in India or with another Eliza agent

I can only speak to Global Payments and Treasury services which has been a hot topic on here as of late but continuously deleted because someone is protecting the frauds in power over there. If you look at the head honcho woman over there and all her direct reports and then their directs, you cannot find one competent individual. None of them have any education to speak of (they’ve admitted it), and they continuously make decisions that only support the cheap labor. There is zero reason that entire department should be in the state it’s in. They have employees doing $1000 incentive weekends just because they have been so incompetent for over 3 years. How this bank hasn’t been absolutely rail roaded during audits is beyond me. How any of these managers still have jobs is a miracle and speaks to the lack of leadership in the bank as a whole

The one poster below is 100% correct. We need a reduction and doge axe take to most of the worthless senior leaders here. Especially the technology goldbricks. All they do is get big big big pay checks and perks. And the bank gets nothing for it. Worst of all, they simply get in the way of needed work and common sense. Honestly cannot see how this company is making it outside of cuts and higher fees??? Maybe I should ask ‘Eliza’

Let this be a reminder - you owe this company nothing. Take vacation and personal time and never work outside of regular business hours as there's nothing to gain.

Thanks Joe Biden. It’s time for your diaper change and donepezil. Honestly, you are a total jacka—ss . This Govt is filled with waste products and at last, someone is doing something about it. BNY on the otherhand is filled with leftist greedy sociopaths. Our leadership tier here could use a major DOGE-ing.
