March 20th HR layoffs is a turning point for all employees left standing in the aftermath.
The layoff on the 20th will be vast and ugly, taking with it the moose tracks of the HR minions that have so gleefully and smugly executed the layoffs of so many before them. There are still many more employees to be axed along with HR on the 20th but this blood bath signals the end of a long and agonizing journey.
The rightsizing of HR means that future layoffs will be small and incremental. The waves will be over and the sun will peek out from behind the clouds. By the morning of March 21st we will all know where we stand, and for those that survived the two year onslaught, will be greeted with the schizophrenic welcome embrace of the old AT&T.
For better or for worse, if you’re here on the 21st without walking papers, you made it. Consider yourself deserving or lucky, but never forget those that weren’t and the never forget the monsters here that still control you.
For me, i’m going back to paying my bills during teams meetings, walking my dog during lunch, catching a tan in the backyard and fa----g out loud whenever I damn well please. For damn sure I be going on Costco runs to bag me some free samples from the white haired mamas.
