Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Maybe you are exaggerating a bit with complaints?

I could never work for a company that I have such a bad opinion of. BofA could be better in many ways, but when I read some of the complaints here and how much people actually despise this place and their jobs here,,, it's unbelievable.

When you are near retirement, you just push thru. This place could do a lot better by their employees, but they don’t. Incompetent leadership is everywhere. The bank cares about how diverse they are, doesn’t matter if the hired is competent. Very sad to see I just do my job and move on. Quit caring years ago.

I really hate working here at this bank. I hate the way people are promoted. There is no "If you do a good job or produce you will get promoted".This place is all political and if you can kiss enough azz you will get ahead. I just hate the string of incompetent azz leaders. I mean they all are worthless and if you go to them with problem they
can't do shlit. This place just has a bunch of empty suit mutherfockas . This company really has to take a hard look at their management. I have worked at other financial institutions but this place is full of weak azz leaders.

i'm here waiting/hoping for the severance. (not gonna let them make me unhappy enuf to leave for free)

that's why I visit a site called "The Layoff".

@OP+1jp6T0Uh - which begs the question, if it's so rosy, why are YOU on this site?

at least here, I can see that I'm not alone in my treatment or feelings.

Feel free to take a break from judging and pay my bills if that would make you understand a little better. Not everyone can move on as easily as others. Geography, ageism in hiring elsewhere, lack of experience, etc. Just because people have compelling reasons to stay doesn't mean complaints are invalid.

Having worked here, the complaints are believable to me. Employee malaise over how the bank is run is real. But most recognize that they need to keep food on the table and the mortgage paid, so they keep their mouths shut and try to stay off the layoff radar. Regulators should have dismantled the bank long ago, and stopped the monopoly. It's somewhat remarkable that the bank is even still in business given its long history of misdeeds and mistakes.

What a black and white thought process. Lots of people live in Charlotte and have no other choice but to pick BofA or Wells. Others live in rural areas and are stuck in their bank job. Others stay for the benefits.

Money and benefits make you do crazy things, bud.
