Does anyone know if enough people took the voluntary severance package to avoid mass layoffs?

I don't think anyone knows what is going on after today's news on the market shares. I'm sure more cuts will come.
Just give us the big picture of what your vision is, where do we stand. What departments are leaving; which are staying.
Noone knows if they got enough or not. It's all based on rumors. Not sure why it is such a secret. Why can't they just let us know who accepted it on the teams. It's almost like the teams were told not to say anything .
I too heard that they got more than what they anticipated. I foresee restructering/reorg depending on if a particular area is now short-staffed. But the shift to offshore new hire and other functions will offset that. I think Baker's area was a test and it will be offered to other areas of UHG. If not, just a normal involuntary layoff on the horizon.
I heard that more resigned than anticipated, but I didn't hear any numbers. Notice some people you wished would leave aren't?
Most departments did not get enough.
How about the company cleans house of the bad employees. It's too hard to get fired so they transfer them to another dept. Just cut them loose. Too many of times I find myself thinking how did you get this job...why are you working here.. use your brain!

Only a handful of few people on our team know. They won’t announce yet. No timelines have been shared.
Your whole department is being laid off?! Do you mind if I ask which department that is?
My department will be laid off
They mat have new hire classes starting but out of all those new hires only a third make it to the floor. Once they see all the systems they need to learn for the approx $22 an hour to start they leave. Then they hit the floor and they are badgered to death and picked on 411 alerts every minute. "Take a call, take a call, quantity over quality". Then more head out the door. The lay offs need to start at the top where all the problems are.

I know someone who is a trainer and in a meeting a couple weeks ago they covered the VRSP but letter in the meeting they mentioned new hire classes starting this summer. Of course everyone had to know how that's possible with the looming layoffs. They were told that " the response by those who wanted it was greater than expected" for what it's worth especially coming from leadership it could be a dim light at the end of the tunnel. Personally I think the captain should go down with the ship. So much cr-p and legal battles have gone down under Wittys time at the helm. He needs to go. End of the day the buck stops with him. You could save a lot of jobs firing him and hiring someone else for less
So true! They are putting employees on 60-day coaching plans that lead to CAPS (corrective action plan). Leadership is so incompetent they can’t even do their jobs when y ooouuu ask questions. Systems always have technical issues, and metrics are a joke!
10% yield is within expectation. but still going to be layoffs
Black hearted as the devil.
500 employees in PEX, only 50 took the buyout, there will be a layoff! Best decision I made is taking the VRSP. Mike Baker and Kristie are hypocrites and liars. If I heard one more time “ this isn’t the cheapest way to go ( 3 flipping times) plus love the acceptance letter “ We are PLEASED to inform you of your VRSP approval. Really “ pleased”heartless c-m su-king POS is what they are!
Well according to the last town hall there was no quota but I don't believe that. Regardless I think they are cleaning house and there will be lay offs to come. Or worse job status' will change and they will make us all call center employees where they nit pick if you breathe wrong on a call. Just my opinion hope I'm wrong.
