It was a wild ride....there are great people here that deserve to work in a less toxic environment. Good luck to my fellow RIFers....there is light and opportunity outside of Verizon.

HR used an equal opportunity dart board to determine who would be rif'd. Bottom line, if you were given a white hat you have continued employment at Verizon. If you were given a black hat, unfortunately your career at Verizon is over. Don't let them check the "DO NOT REHIRE" box on you exit package.
@csa+1jpYq6y1 south Asians don't count as minorities in VZ. Especially H1B as that visa is specifically if they can't find Americans, meaning it would be unjustified to layoff Americans for non permanent resident visa holders.
It's Armageddon at VZ.
Are you serious? Only took 5 months to go from hero to zero? Are you sure you didn't have an inflated vision of your value?
What else can the rif'd people say? Hey, they had a good ride but it's over. If you want lifetime employment with one company, good luck with that. Quit blowing yer money like a drunkin sailor on shore leave. You all will be lucky to get three years in at any given company the rest of yer life.
Not true. about 50% of our cuts (30% of our director's org) were minorities.
Alrighty folks, you can all STOP with the racial/ethnic comments - they come from small minded, jaded people that don't know any better.
RIFS are just that - compassion for those that receive it and wish them well. Those that remain continue on.
GE Sales Enablement
You people that keep asking segments are ridiculous. It’s all segments of all sections of the business!
