Got this job offer via email and phone call yesterday & thought it was for out of Region until I checked CWA District 6 contracts. Guess they forgot to inform me it is to cross picket lines………..

AT&T Field Operations (AFO) - Job Requisition Summary
Project Timelines
Assignment Start: Not expected before mid-April 2025 (no firm date confirmed).
Onboarding (including background checks): Completed by the last week of March 2025.
Badging & Access Granting: Completed by the first week of April 2025.
Readiness for Assignment: Second week of April 2025.
Duration, Hours, and Availability
Availability: Selected individuals must be available within 24 hours of being called out.
Work Schedule: 12-hour days, 6 days a week, for a minimum of 3 weeks (no fixed duration guaranteed).
No Minimum Commitment: No guaranteed hours or assignment; no payment if not called out.
Compensation Details
Standard Pay: $60/hour.
Overtime Pay: Per applicable state law; double-time for hours worked on the 7th consecutive day (if applicable).
Bonus:
$1,000 for completing the full assignment duration.
$300 if ending after 3 weeks but before full duration.
Forfeited if ending before 3 weeks or terminated due to performance, behavior, or rules violation.
Payment: Handled by supplier/employer; bonuses paid post-assignment.
Reimbursement Details
Per Diem: $185/day for meals and lodging (for those living 50+ miles from assignment location).
Travel Allowance:
$665 one-time payment to travel to location (200+ miles away, requires 72+ hours worked).
$665 one-time payment to return (requires 72+ hours worked and good standing).
Note: No additional mileage, airfare, or meal costs reimbursed.

Assignment Requirements
Dress Code: Long-sleeve shirt, full-length pants, protective boots (provided by individual, meeting AT&T safety criteria).
Equipment: AT&T provides all protective gear (except boots), vehicles, tools, and supplies.
Physical Demands: Work aloft (ladders/poles up to 28 ft.), lift 60 lbs., operate vehicles, work in all weather conditions.
Other: Valid driver’s license required; weight limit <275 lbs. for ladder safety.

General Scope of Work
Expectations: Act with integrity, dependability, and a customer-centric mindset; perform labor-intensive cable/wire maintenance autonomously.
Skills: Mechanical/technical aptitude, critical thinking, safe use of hand tools and drills.
Work Environment: Small spaces, heights, customer premises.

I'm going to look for these types of job postings after I retire from the company just for a free vacation.

I'd just tell the strikers: I'm with you. I'm just going to go driving around and do some site-seeing. Getting fired isn't going to affect my finances one bit.

Take it from someone who was a contingency manager for the SE work stoppage.

12 hrs a day 6 days a week is 100% a strike duty job.
