I came here because I’ve been posting for jobs at Wells Fargo after being laid off from Fiserv. Very interesting comments. Thanks for the insights. Question: why does HR take so long to get back to someone? Maybe the head of technologies that commented on this thread could answer that. I was the chief of staff for Infrastructure Security. After reading comments here, I may have to reconsider my excitement for working at Wells Fargo.

"lead" in front of any job title in WF is a P4, which is an individual contributor. The job families are standardized that way.

Job profiles are visible to everyone in workday - just look it up. if you don't know how to find it in workday, go to the HR Service & Support site and put it into the search there.

The job profile shows salary range for all geographies. the range used for a specific area will be a subset of that range.

There is no such thing as "expected career growth" from any position - it's all up to you: how you perform in the job, acquire new skills, demonstrate value beyond what's required.

M6, highest level of software engineer, has many other software engineer managers and distinguished engineer reporting to them, reports directly to the head of technology. Greatest level of respect for anyone in this role.
