Maybe the old heads waiting on a package so they will retire, not those with no pension.
I'm union. I'll get my pension regardless of how I leave. A severance package is icing on the cake.
I'm not leaving until I get the severance when I can stick around and work as hard as the lowest performer.
I have invested four long hard years with this company. As miserable as I am, I will not let them win. I do just enough to get by, but have always managed to achieve exceeds/Excels status on all performance reviews. I do freely admit I am a miserable wreck but who isn't that works for at&t?
There is one benefit to layoffs. If you’re fortunate enough to be near a hub, there’s going to be a lot of job openings for you to consider applying for within your organization.

If any job, at any salary, at any location truly makes you hate your life---RESIGN!!!!

Unless you are H1B, you have choices everyday. Quit posting here and do something about it.
“This company has made me hate my life.”
That is their intent…in hopes you leave sans severance pay.

There are no packages.
This was obviously written by some loser in HR. Why don’t you shut the eff up, get off your little high horse and get back to your real job which is to help people with their dental benefits.
Maybe the old heads waiting on a package so they will retire, not those with no pension. We are interviewing elsewhere, waiting on offer letters, or already put in notice. A lot of people leaving.
This company has made me hate my life.
I’m waiting in a line 5 heads deep to be laid off
I hate my life and like to blame others.
I always thought layoffs was an involuntary separation.
I'm just waiting to be picked.
