Since fiber is now a discontinued operation, they should layoff everyon from fiber with severance. Then in 6-12 months hire back those who will get positions at zayo or eqt. This makes the most sense. Means you can get a well deserved months long vacation.

Simply having layoffs is a good indicator of more layoffs to come.

Each company involved with this transaction wants the flock to remain calm for the sake of the day to day. All you sheeple asking about remote are concerned about the wrong thing. The only ones who will be ok, will be the ones who end up with EQT. The BS about 90k mile fiber route is a drop in the bucket compared to what Zayo already has. The “network” footprint for Enterprise pales in comparison to Zayo. The legacy Sunesys and Wiltel networks are a joke.

Anybody who believes what they heard on the call is a fool. Yes, during the transition there will be no layoffs. Personnel head count needs to be maintained to make the transition smoothly and is contractual. After that, all bets are off and Zayo is notorious for off shoring every position possible. Also, any one in fiber network operations is redundant.

The layoffs will not occur on the fiber side till after the transition and Zayo identifies the redundant positions. Which is above 90%. All these worthless managers in Fiber will be trying to say they have SCN experience so that they get transitioned to the EQT company.

Look, Zayo doesn’t need ANY of CCF personnel. There are so many ex Zayo employees working at Crown for a reason. You’re best bet is to hope that you get parceled off to the new standalone SCN company.
