Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Hey ya’ll! Here’s a follow up.

I posted last week about my manager suddenly changing my one-on-one from its normally scheduled day to Tuesday morning before the team meeting. Well, I got laid off. It’s sad… for Wells Fargo, because I didn’t su-k. I understand why it happened. Replacing me with 10 Indians and AI. Damn I was good.

Thanks to all of you for suggesting I handle it with grace. That comment was the first thing I thought of, and I responded with, “Great, call me if you need me.” Apparently, I’m still employed for 60 days?

Oh, fun fact for y’all: Wells Fargo is a top company in India. It pays top dollar. The very best want to work there for this reason. Ain’t that some #%^*?

Praise God, I can feel it coming for me too but I am at peace and ready to not be in fear forever. I dont even care if it means a career change. It’s in the hands of a God who loves and knows me. Thank you Jesus !!

OP, ignore the trolls and haters. Many of us who were excellent employees - hard working, stayed out of the drama, nose-down-and-do-the-work folks - were laid off in favor of the Indians and Philippines. It's total cr-p but nothing we can do about it.
Don't wait too long to start looking for other work (although during your 60 days you can't work anywhere else without risk to your severance). Its a very tough job market right now. I've been looking and applying for everything under the sun for over 6 months now - have only had 1 potential that fell thru. And I'm not some unskilled mo--n. We are up against hundreds of people applying for the same job - and many are foreigners with questionable "degrees" that look better on paper.
I'm sure we've all worked with people like that who've lied on their resume but land the job, only to find out they have no bloody idea wth they are doing.
Anyway - thanks WF for the betrayal to the American workers.
Good luck OP - may the odds ever be in your favor. :)

The only difference between a "core" location and the rest of them is the lie they tell you when you're fired. That's it. Hub employees are being downsized all the time.

Op is a legend in their own mind. Lol. Try highlighting how damn good you are on your resume. You'll have a difficult time being hired elsewhere. Employers don't like complacency.

OP is probably an Indian. Their intelligence quotient is typically low and therefore they behave like children.

Also laid off yesterday. In compliance…non-hub location and expected it. Someone else working EBCE project was told 4/1 is their last day (and first day of non working notice). Also non-hub.

@ap+1jpqs4a62, right there with you. All these people constantly going on about how they were rated 4's and 5's for years and now suddenly getting rated poorly. Sure... or maybe you're most anonymously so you can LARP to your heart's content.

@ap+1jpqs4a62 is right on the money. The weirdo who spams votes on everything on here is incredibly easy to dupe.

If this post weren’t filled with self-gratifying BS it would be believable.

“ It’s sad… for Wells Fargo, because I didn’t su-k. I understand why it happened. Replacing me with 10 Indians and AI. Damn I was good.”

I’m sure you were as great in real life as you were in your head. Don’t let the door hit you in the azz on the way out.

I was displaced on 2/4, so still in my 60 days. Landed a job a few weeks into my 60 days but don’t start until mid-April. 8 months of severance while collecting a paycheck from my new company. Great being gone from the cesspool that is WF!

We wish you all the very best and you will be missed because we always miss the good ones. As others mentioned, sleep in, decompress, rest. Good luck out there.

What location did you get laid off from?…core site or non core site? What type of role/position were you working?

Take those 60 days to reflect, rest and start a new game plan. Reset your nervous system. You will be ok!!
