Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

what a joke?

The H-1B visa program enables U.S. companies to hire foreign workers in fields like technology, engineering, and science, where there may be a shortage of qualified domestic workers.

Now look at you team how many of those foreign workers on H1B visa do cutting edge work that a high school kid with some programming classes cannot do.

“ we the h1 worker do the works. ”

Sure Rajesh…you do the 3rd rate “works”, & gladly accept the chicken feed for it.

There are a lot of foreign employees at AT&T that do not come close to coding or anything very technical.

H1Bs are the modern indentured servants. I feel bad for them. That being said, is the quality of their code or timeliness of getting things done comparable to American workers? Nope, not even close. We used to get things done, now we don’t, it takes forever, and then full of defects if it even works. But, well, they are cheap, they hire 3 of them for every 1 of you they get rid of.

H-1B visas are grossly abused at “best”. In essence, they are treasonous to American workers. The sell outs in DC are suppose to represent “WE the (American) people” and NOT greedy, globalist corporations!
