Usually if no one takes it then usually a surplus will take place in the LA area they hired way to many prem techs to specials and they have no work and it's been like that for a real long time. Unfortunately the first ones to go will be the prem techs and that job offer will be from Texas going east. Good luck to all who will be affected
att wants to get the southeast system techs out because their work can be contracted out, unlike most everything else. most callouts for them in my area are sent to contractors (mainly because the techs dont want to go on them because they get plenty of connecting ot). additionally, there really arent many system techs left
Shop steward?
San Diego?
Just about useless!
There, I fixed it.
shop steward confirmed for san diego local. said more info to come. not sure of titles or percentage, but said information is true. not a layoff.
Why not offer the three techs left at Trade St?
Call your locals. Confirmed post, local 9421. Unsure about the number off offers. I can say many 25+ techs will take it. This is going to ki-l union numbers.
Not sure why they can't do this for all technicians in BFS that are willing to leave the company? T certainly has the free cash flow to pay off any techs that volunteer to leave!
Everybody know at&t is busted a-s broke. The haint got no money to hand out like candy.
It's true. Not a surpluss, so contract provisions wont apply. Voluntary buyouts for Specials and Maintenance Splicer Technicians. No one being forced.
Voluntary SIPP/ESIPP
It's not called that in D9 and your numbers are wrong. That's why your credibility is low.
Bloodbath
I see why people don't post info here, BFS Director in my area gave the numbers to the union yesterday. Believe it or not, I don't really care, I posted here with the minimal info I had. Didn't get the numbers right? Who the F do you think you are that is would go out of my way to find exact numbers, this is roughly what was relayed to me, point being buyout will be announced soon. How soon? Again. Who the f do you think you are? Just know it will come then look stoopid with your in denial comments. Bunch of mo--ns here in denial. Believe it or not that's on you, your d-mb a$$ comments do not make this any less or more credible. If this is not believable, then take what you want from this and move on.
Signed a union brother trying to share some info.
They did it in South East, and not too long ago.

- Voluntary SIPP/ESIPP per the Payment Table (8.03A3a), plus an additional $50,000 less applicable withholding taxes and deductions (“Special Severance”).*
In your dreams. Too good to be truth.
50k + 53 weeks of pay.
You know it's fake when the i d i o t can't even get the ESB numbers right.
Buyouts soon...? Soon, as in maybe June, maybe September or possibly December? I have no doubt this is another rumor by a technician wishing out loud hoping somebody might read this and actually make a decision! Dream on, don't hold your breath, ain't gonna happen, retire if you can!
Does this include us front line managers and those that support the techs?
BFS = Business Field Services
BFS?
Us poor Comm Techs would bale so fast, we would leave a vacuum.
Oh well, our Union hard at work.
This is too good to be true.
The stink is pleased
