You could accept and search for something within the agreed upon move date.

Read appendix F of the Benefits Book.

If your relocation meets the definition of a “qualifying event” (see page F-4) then you are eligible for severance.

I don’t think you get it. There’s consequences if you accept a relocation package & then decide not to follow through with it.

some people get an offer to either take severance or relocate to a selection of core markets for their business. Because requiring you to relocate would constitute a significant job change they can't require it. Now if you agree to relocate and fail to do so within the agreed upon amount of time, you will be fired and no severance for you.

Think about it. If you refuse it means you won’t show up for work also mean you quit. Why should you get anything
