If Trump and his people really cared about American jobs, they would be levying a wage tariff on outsourced work to India. They won't. The billionaire oligarchs are the ones who've been benefiting from outsourcing all this time. Think of the impassioned defense Elon Musk had of H1B visas.

Trump and Musk just pretend to care, which is why they are laser focused on "illegal immigrants"--helpless people who are taking jobs that pay so little even American teenagers turn their noses up at them and who actually pay into things like Social Security without actually being able to benefit from those programs (no Virginia, there is no Social Security fraud.)

The type of tariffs that Trump is using is just ultimately destructive. He's just trying to get the interest rates down. He really doesn't care about anything else.

"Jobs at IBM are like chemistry;"

Let me fix that for you to something more relevant.
Jobs at IBM in the US are sitting on an Indian event horizon
where the immediate profit pull is so strong that everything gets su-ked through
leaving behind an incompetent husk.

Arvind Krishna: “Jobs at IBM are like chemistry; no jobs are lost; to the contrary, expensive jobs are moved from high cost countries and more jobs are created to third world countries like my so beloved homeland India “
