Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Can you actually believe

the amount of time that is being wasted, at all levels, on just trying to “prove” people are or are not complying with the RTO mandate.

And to the simpletons posting “just go into the office like you’re supposed to”…. We are, you mouth breathing dimwits.

We are, and we are not given “credit” for doing so, due to the flawed reporting. We are opening HWWW tickets as a CYA measure, that no one seems to be doing anything with.

This whole thing is complete lunacy.

All of this RTO, d-mb sh-t from MCLfreshtard is happening bc of our WEAK HR department.

As a sales leader if I could fire employees who were not performing to standard quickly and hire their replacement faster, I could have doubled my quota for me and my team without breaking a sweat.
However HR says we have to have a PIP process where by all meetings and expectations are documented in great detail (regardless if you have been documenting everything already), reviewed by HR and legal, then after 90 to 120 days you can off load the underperformer. That's one full quarter dumping someone from the ranks, then another 2 or three month hiring cycle, followed by a draw for three months bringing them up to speed and you've missed 3 months of productivity with old seller who is gone. 2 months of hiring, 3 months of bringing FNG up to speed. That's 8 months to off load one underperforming sales person, so as a sales leader we miss the year.
This is the cycle you repeat as a sales manager at T over and over again.

1st off with NO ASSIGNED seating, the video camera thing.. pure bs. as if they are going to look through hours of video trying to identify your face going in and out. Maybe they should mount a camera in the sH***er as well so they can account for those moments there is no keyboard activity.. Oh yeah this is a real morale booster for EXEMPT employees being treated like hourly union call center workers..

AT&T Management creating video evidences and reports to terminate employees.
They don’t believe in giving warnings to their employees because they know they have less resources like office space, parking space.

Drop in the bucket compared to actually having people work 40 hours a week.

If people would go to work and show some integrity this wouldn't be a problem. But since some are bottom hurt, entitled pa----s this is a problem. Please refrain from the d-mb "bootlicker" response. It shows your stupidity.

“Little more than 5 cents to drop $100,000 employees with no severance.”

How much does it save to drop $30M+ a year CEO in comparison?? Oh yeah…. Don’t say the quiet part out loud.

You're over complicating this. Be there before the first whistle blows. Stay there until the end of day whistle blows. Be glad they aren't paying you in AT&T company scrip.

It's all a scam. They literally cannot prove you were there or not there without looking at security cameras. Most buildings don't require you to card out.

Anyway it's stupid as one can be in a building all day and generate whatever activity they want to see, while doing nothing. If I were still there I would literally (verbally) coach my folks how to do so.

JS doesn't realize the best thing he can do for the company is count his millions and play with his p-cker and leave those who know what they need to do to do it.

This is being done for simple reasons. Follow the money. Cheaper to terminate with such cause and no severance package. Will buy others a few more months at best

Just take a picture of you at your desk early and late for evidence. Apple time stamps them

You’d think after remote work saved their a..ss, they'd learn something. But nah — CEOs just want their adult daycare back.

Yes I can. I saw decades of scorecards because Executives were so out of touch with their lines of business. PowerPoints and Scorecards....oh an heat maps. ATT was always full of knob su-k ups.

“ Yup, they are using the report to fire people without due process.”

Exact what process are you entitled too?

This is classic Stink. He’s always been like this. He thinks he’s smart and can catch people doing things they shouldn’t so he can save 5 cents and feel superior. He’s a smug d-bag and this pettiness will be his demise.

It’s been more shocking to see how long employees have continued to complain about job requirement updates. If there were other options they would leave.

“ These are justified terminations for employees not meeting minimum job requirements.“

Try to keep up, you phoney baloney corporate stooge.

We are talking about people (like me) that “are” complying …yet still wasting an inordinate amount of time trying to disprove that they are not. Due to broken reporting and systems.

OP,

Agree!
This ALL goes to show how MUCH they want people OFF the payroll the cheapest route possible! If forcing people to move doesn’t do it, this is the next step.

It’s ALL about cutting headcount! PERIOD!
